He carries petrol sufficient for 4,000 miles. Mr J. Mattern and two other pilots are weatherbound here. OVER THE POLE: FAIRBANKS (Alaska), August 23. (Received August 24, at 2 p.m.) Sir Hubert Wilkins is reported to be flying over the Polo in his search for the Soviet flyers.
