HISTORIC DOCUMENT

ACCOUNT OF BATTLE OF THE BOYNE DISCOVERY IN COUNTY DOWN Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, August 22. An eye-witness’s account of the Battle of the Boyne, written on parchment by a Protestant clergyman, has been discovered in County Down. It carries a comprehensive plan of the battlefield, and declares that the losses were fewer than generally given, being not more than 800 to 900 Irish and 200 English, of whom 100 were Dutch. The writer declares that King William mercifully stopped pursuit, preventing further effusion of blood.
