A CHILD’S DEATH. A verdict that death was duo to shock following injuries sustained in a collision with a lorry was returned by Mr J. Miller, S.M. (coroner), at tho resumed inquest on the death of Francis William Fleetwood, aged 4, who died in the Public Hospital on August 18. A rider was added that no blame was attachable to the lorry driver. — Napier Press Association. CYCLIST HITS PEDESTRIAN. Colliding with a pedestrian as he was cycling along- Craigleith street towards the Main road, North-east Valley, this afternoon, a youth named Thomas Fitzpatrick was thrown heavily off his machine and broke his collar-bone, in addition to receiving concussion. Fitzpatrick, who resides at 69 Gladstone road, was admitted to the Hospital at 1 o’clock. BOY INJURES EYE. An injury to his eye was suffered by John Park, aged 10, when he was hit by a clod while playing last evening. The injured lad, who resides with his parents in Benhar street, Mormngton, was admitted to the Hospital at 9 o’clock.
