AMATEUR BILLIARDS

HANDIOAP TOURNAMENT A surprising match was witnessed by the numerous enthusiasts who assembled at the Olympia for the second semi-final of the handicap tournament being run by the local Amateur Billiards Association. In receipt of 150 points from A. Vidal (scr), A. Richardson soon settled down to a steady game, and, shelving vastly improved form, ran out a comfortable winner, the final scores being A. Richardson 300, A. Vidal 183. The winner compiled a break of 30 and averaged 5.2. Vidal did not reproduce his good form of the previous rounds, while he was unlucky in the run of the balls. The final (500 up) will be played this evening at the R.S.A., commencing at 7.30. The finalists are E. Bringans (scr) and A. Richardson (rec. 75), and a close game should he witnessed between these promising young players.
