MACANDREW BAY ORPHANS

A large gather of orphans attended tho Macandrow Bay Orphans’ Club’s nautical night. The president welcomed the visitors and made special mention of the presence of Bro. Jim Ledgerwood, who was a past president of tho chib and now resident at Winton. Tho toast of tho visitors was proposed by Bro, A. Hartley and responded to by Mr J. Mowat (Timam), Mr C. Reynolds, and Mr Jim Ledgerwood. Songs wore given by Mr Stewart, Bro. W. G. Lane, and Bro. F. AA 7 hite, while Bro. J. Arivian gave a story. Tho club’s orchestra added considerably to the success of the evening, and Leading Seaman P. Stapleton led the company in some rousing sea chanties. Several now members were initiated.
