OTAGO HUNT CLUB

QUALIFICATION RUN A qualification run was held by the Otago Hunt Club at Wakari yesterday afternoon. The thanks of the club are due to Messrs Bacon and Kedzflie, who again placed their properties at the club’s disposal. The conditions were ideal, and although the field was small tho jumping without exception, was good. Those who followed were:—The acting master (Mr J. Dick) on Grey Scot, the huntsman (Mr R. Harvey) on Pailaform, the acting whip (Mr S. Robb) on Punch, Miss D. Medley on Tanner, Messrs J J. Morris on Greyhawk, H. M'Ewan on Silver Jest, J. Richards on Jimmy. POINT-TO-POINT STEEPLECHASE. The following entries -have been received for the Point-to-point Steeplechase meeting to be held on Saturday at North Taieri:— Light-weigbV Steeplechase. Rainbow, Tractor colt, Kim, Grey Scot, Jimmy, Greyhawk, Red Fire. Open Point-to-point Steeplechase.— Actor, Tractor colt, Zamboa, Octane, Rag Tag, Pallaform, Rifle Range. Heavy-weight Steeplechase. Rainbow, Tractor colt, Earn, Rane, Punch. Bed Fire, Rod Heather. Ladies’ Flat Race.—Boll Hill, Actor, Tractor colt. Tanner. Peter, Bonny, Grey Scot, Satan, Jimmy. Greyhawk, Red Fire, Azevedo, Pallaform. Gentlemen’s Flat Race.—Silver Jest, Tractor colt, Octane. Vantoou, Greyhawk, Actor, 1 Rifle Range, Grey Scot.
