THREE YEARS OR MORE ? REFERENDUM TO BE TAKEN [Special to the ‘ Star.’] WELLINGTON, August 4. Repeating his announcement that there would be a General Election next year, Mr Savage stated that the Jaw would be altered in • this - direction, though it was possible to dissolve Parliament prior to the end of the fouryear period under the authority of the Governor-General. The question of the future term of Parliament, whether or not it should be more than three years, would be referred to the decision of the electors by referendum.
