APPEAL FOR FUNDS ' The secretary-treasurer of the Spanish Medical Aid Committee acknowledged with thanks the following donations towards the cost of sending medical assistance to the Spanish people Previously acknowledged, £4lO Os 2d; Palmerston North Spanish Relief Committee, £9; Mr C. Soumaras (Dunedin) , £1; union official (Greymouth), Is; General Labourers’ Union (second collection), 15s; South road drainage job (twelfth collection), 11s 6d; total, £421 7s Bd. In the advertisement columns particulars will be found of a public meeting being held in the Concert Chamber on Sunday evening. Speakers will deal with the Spanish situation as it exists to-day after one year’s struggle. They will also show the urgent necessity for medical aid to relieve the suffering.
