The under-tehs are asked to .find a missing vowel, and the over-tens to colour a picture. Send your answers to Big Brother Bill, care of ‘ Evening Star,’ Stuart street, Dunedin, G.l. Be sure to mark the envelope “ Competitions.” A MISSING VOWEL. (Under 10 years; prize one shilling.) There are five vowels in the English language—a, e, i, o, u. One of these five used in connection with these meaningless words will change them into words with a good meaning. The letters, as they are given here, appear over the Ten Commandments in a little Welsh church. Can you find out what they mean? i PRSVR Y PRPCTMN YRKP T H S PROP T S T N. COLOURING A PICTURE. (Over 10: prize two shillings and sixpence.) Brother Bill is constantly asked for something bairns can do with their hands, in the shape of a competition. Here is something to do. A prize of two shillings and, sixpence will be awarded to the one who colours this picture, either by crayon or paint, in the best way. Cut out the picture, paste carefully oh cardboard, and colour with either croypn or paints.
