£1,500 DAMAGES AWARDED Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, June 30. The jury in the Mala case returned a verdict in favour of Russell, who was awarded £1,500 damages. A stay of proceedings was granted. [Frank Edgar Russell, the owner and trainer of Mala, proceeded in the Supreme Court agaiust tho Commissioner of Road Transport and Tramways to recover £3,000 damages owing to injuries to Mala. The horse was struck by a tram on the morning of the A.J.C. Derby on October 3.]
