Hepburn), in an address, alleged that President Roosevelt had been favourably influenced toward the Committee for Industrial Organisation by Mr Lewis’s contribution of 600,000 dollars to funds for the Presidential campaign. The Premier asserted that Mr Lewis was collecting 36,000,000 dollars annually in dues, and ho asked; “Is it any wonder that he can corrupt Governments with a slush fund of that size? ”
