MAYOR'S RELIEF ORGANISATION

DISTRIBUTION OF MEAT The mayor’s relief organisation has received authority from the Department of Labour, Wellington, to make a further distribution of meat during the next three months. _ Arrangements have been completed with the Methodist Central Mission to distribute this through its depot. _ Beef only will be distributed, and it is proposed to make the following charges:—Roasts and steak, 2id per lb; all other, 2d per lb. This meat is available to all registered unemployed and their dependents, and it is proposed to commence distribution on Thursday next, July 1. All persons intending to take advantage of tho distribution should make immediate application to the mission depot.in Stuart street for the necessary meat card.
