TO NIGHT’S WRESTLING
In Hal Rumberg, “ King Kong ” Cox will probably meet his stillest opposition since his debut in New Zealand wrestling. Cox has so far enjoyed a good record here, the only match lost being on a disqualification, and the only man so far to hold him to a draw has been Kirilenko. Rumberg is one of the few men in the Dominion to gain a decision over Sammy Stein, and his ability to hold Jack Spellman to a draw o'n two occasions stamps him as a wrestler of quality. Rumberg, as opposed to Spellman, favours the open type of wrestling, and should disconcert Cox to a greater extent than did his opponent of last week. He is taller and has a longer reach than Cox, and this should give him an advantage over his stocky opponent. Rumberg stands over 6ft 3in, and tips the scales at 17st, so that Cox is meeting a man of his own weight and strength. Rumberg was one of tho very few young wrestlers who ever gained a decision over George Walker when he was wrestling some four years ago. With two such men as Cox and Rumberg, every round is sure to be packed with thrills, and the spectacular and fast-moving Rumberg can. be relied upon to make the pace for his aggressive opponent. Further particulars are advertised.
