The pompous individual had made a ridiculously low offer for a valuable lot of property, and called the following day for an answer. “ Have you entertained my offer?” he inquired. “ No.” replied the owner. “ Your offer has entertained me.” Young Man: “ Let ns play tiddly winks. If you lose you give me a kiss.” Fair Chamfer: “And if I win?” Young Man: “Then I give you a •kiss.”
