INTERESTING VASE.—An ornament of the fifteenth century which forms part of the col lection of Chinese art, at present on display at the Museum. The design includes lotus scrolls and Buddhist symbols and a Sanscrit inscription meaning “Oh! The Jewel in the Lotus” being an illusion to Buddha reincarnated in a lotus.
