£250,000 PLACED AT EARL BALDWIN'S DISPOSAL TO STRENGTHEN TIES OF EMPIRE Press ‘Association — By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, June 21. “ As a thanks offering for Earl Baldwin’s courageous, far-seeing, and sympathetic handling of a supremely difficult situation,” an anonymous British donor has placed £250,000 at Earl Baldwin’s disposal to endow “ any object best calculated to strengthen still further the ties of the dominions with the United Kingdom, who once more have demonstrated their solidarity in a time of emergency.” Announcing his acceptance of the gift Earl Baldwin states that _ stepy will be taken towards the creation of an independent trust, which will be empowered to allocate the money in the interests of interimperial relations.
