THE MARCUS SHOW

ANOTHER DECISIVE SUCCESS The Marcus Show scored another decisive success at His Majesty’s last night. This highly-speetacular variety entertainment is setting new standards for Dunedin audiences, and a big crowd followed its second presentation with the closest interest and pleasure. It is a whirlwind show, that sustains a remarkable pace throughout, and a small army of talented principals keeps everyone amused and delighted with a succession of breezy and diverting acts. The frocking and settings are, of course, of great importance in this production, and their style and design are bril-

lianily impressive. Last night’s audience found it difficult to single out any one performer or troupe for special honours, as all of them maintain a high level. The Marcus Show is given a very lively introduction, and from that moment the interest of the audience is not allowed to flag at, any stage. Its humour, dancing,, and music are an equal delight, and behind that again is a series ■'of dazzling spectacles that represent' a triumph of stage organisation. There can be no doubt that the Marcns Show will enjoy a highly and deservedly successful season in Dunedin. It is certainly the most-discussed variety show of two decades. The present production, ‘ La Vie Paree,’ will be given nightly this week, with matinees to-morrow and. Saturday. There will he a complete change next Monday night.
