COMMUNITY SINGING

The fifth community sing of the season will be held in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy of Fuller-Hayward) on Friday, commencing at 12.15. A special attraction is to be announced later in the week. Last week £lO9 Is 9d was handed over to the King George V. Memorial Fund. This year the community sings have made an

excellent beginning, and the listenersin and the audience have shown their appreciation of the programmes presented. Mr PI. P. Desmoulins will be the leader and Mr Alt'. Pettitt will be at the piano. The proceeds will again be given to the Mayor’s Relief of Distress Fund. Mrs MTntyre, who has charge of the stall, will he pleased to receive goods and flowers. Dona-, tious can be sent to Begg’s or to the Strand Theatre. “ Cheerios ” should be sent in to Mr Himburg as early as possible.
