LIVE PIGEON SHOOTS, Tllo Wellington Society for the Prevention of Cruelly to Aniina.s has protested to the Government, through the Minister of Internal Affairs, against the shooting of live pigeons at gun club trials'. The General -Manager of Railways, in a statement to-day, said that there was no delect in the layout of the Wellington station yard, which nas not to be altered, nor was llm delay attributable to a defect in the locomotive which caused tlie initial, trouble yesterday.
