COMMUNITY SINGING.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I make mostly all the announcemeats, and I can assure “ Curtail ” that no “ cheerios ” are sent out unless e, donation has been sent, either cash or goods.' All “ cheerios ” are curtailed, and it is our endeavour to make them as brief ns possible, but we have to be fair to our listeners-in, who contribute to the fund in some cases splendid donations. If “ Curtail ” could call on me I -would be pleased to show him tho lists for each week; which are curtailed to the minimum. My committee is very proud of the fact that Dunedin’s sings- are enjoyed by thousands throughout New Zealand, and that all our donations are voluntary. I Tank “ Curtail ” for the kind remarks about us all, and I can tell him that our object is to sing, and, like the song, “ If everyone did everyone a good turn every day, how happy this old world ■would be'.”—l am, etc., J. F. HtMBURO (Hon Sec., Dunedin Community Singing). Juno 21,
