SAVE THE BABIES
NEW HOSPITAL NEEDED The Plunket Society is appealing—and so far -has not done so in vain—for £20,000 with which to build a new Karitane Hospital at Anderson’ Bay. Already just on £7,000 is in hand, and promises of other substantial amounts have been given. The excellent work being carried out by the Plunket Society is telling its own wonderful story every day in local homes and at the hospital. It would be - difficult to name an object as worthy of* wholehearted financial support. Thousands of mothers have the Plunket Society to thank for the radiant health of their children. ■ Visiting Plunket nurses are authorised to accept donations for the rebuilding of the new hospital—no amount will be considered too small. The ‘ Evening Star ’ will accept donations, and at the offices of the society in the Queen’s Building those interested will be welcomed. The object is a worthy one, and the public are asked to give as much as they can as quickly as they can.
