WHALING AGREEMENT
NINE COUNTRIES PARTICIPATE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, June 8. . (Received June 9, at noon.) Representatives of New Zealand, Australia, England, Germany, South Africa, the Irish Free State, the United States, Argentina, and Norway have signed a whaling agreement providing for nine months’ close sea-' son for pelagic whaling, also for, absolute prohibition in certain areas, also providing that certain species and all whale calves shall bo protected absolutely.
