BLOMFIELD BEATS RHIIERC [Per United Press Association.] ■WELLINGTON, May 3. "Lofty” Blomfield’a octopus'damp won him the decision over Hal Rumherg in a bout to-night. The latter prevailed in the early rounds and took a fall with a flying body scissors and a. press id the fourth round. In the seventh he knocked Blomfield. down three tunes with elbow jolts, but when he rushed in again Blomfield tripped him and en< twined him in his tentacle hold. Runw berg yielded a painful submission fall. He crawled out on to the mat ‘for the last round, but as he was in no shape to continue the referee awarded th* decision to Blomfield.
