MAT€H AGAINST CANTERBURY [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, May 3. The first selection of players to represent Wellington in this season’s Rugby football engagements has been made by Mr M. F. Nicholls, who is receiving the assistance of Messrs A. M'Donald and F. D. Kilby in choosing the players this year. Twenty players have been chosen with a view to the fixture with Canterbury, which is set down to be played at Athletic Park on Coronation Day. The following players have been selected:— Backs.—H. R. Pollock, J. M. Watt, J. Fleming, C. Hudson, R. C. Veitch, L. H. Edwards, C. Le Quesne, H. L. Baldwin, J. L. Griffiths, and B. S. Sadler, Forwards. —C. M. Ongley, J. Wells, A. Lambourne, F. C. Leahy, M. W. Devine, B. Ropata, K. Guy, F. H. Fraser-Smith, G. R. Wales, and C. J. Pringle.
