ONE FARMER LOSES 800 IN YEAR MORE DRASTIC PENALTIES SOUGHT [Pee Unitbd Press Association.] GISBORNE, May 1. More drastic; penalties for sheep stealing were advocated at a meeting of the Gisborne Justices of the Peace Association last evening, one member stating that he had lost 800 head in the past year. The incoming committee was instructed to take up the question with the Minister of Justice, in an attempt to have some further steps taken to reduce the evil.
