TOWN HALL DANCE
The management of the main Town Hall Dance is opening two halls to-night, the Coronation- Hall, St. Kilda, and the Moonshine Cabaret. The popular Mayfair Dance Band, with Mr J. M’Farlane, the well-known radio vocalist, will play at the Coronation Hall, and the Savonia Dance Band at the Moonshine Cabaret, assisted by Mr M. Naylor. At both dances all the fun of the big dance will prevail, and the usual carnival novelties will bo distributed. Strict conduct will be the order, and right of admission will bo strictly reserved.
At the weekly meeting of the Radiant Health Club, Mrs Brooks presided. A paper was given by Mrs Readie on the eating of food and fruits for health. During afternoon tea the president drew attention to the orange problem, and it was decided that something should be done in the matter.
Smith had the misfortune to lose his wallet. A few days later a friend met him and said: “ Hello, Smith! Have you heard anything about your lost wallet yet?” “ You ask me that,” was the reply, “ and you know my wife! Yes, i have heard of it—morning, noon, and night.”-
