CORONATION BALL

Although Dunedin is too far away to take part in all the Coronation festivities the opportunity of celebrating the. occasion in suitable fashion is being presented at the Coronation Ball, which is being held in the Town Hall on Tuesday,! May 11..; 7 ' A Coronation ball deserves a Coronation setting, and Messrs Leonard Hill and" J: “D.~ 'Charlton Edgar have produced, a scheme of, decoration on a'scale .not been, before in Dunedin. The rest of the programme will be in keeping with the decorations. The dance orchestra under the leadership of Mr H. M’Clatchy will provide something special for the evening; while the ballet arranged by Mr Stan. Lawson has been designed specially for the occasion. The. Regimental Band, under the baton of .Mr L. Aston, will play : appropriate 'music in, the early part..of the, evening, and later will take part'in-a short ceremony at midnight. Finally, the catering is. in the hands of . Mrs Campbell, who will provide a full banquet supper. Details of the full programme will -appear in next Saturday’s advertisement, but in the meantime, the special souvenir tickets are selling rapidly and intending patrons are reminded' that as the accommodation in the Town Hall, is. limited, the number of tickets available, is also limited.
