PUBLIC SEATS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —As a ratepajer I would like to express my thanks to the R.S.A. for the gift of those seats to the city. I trust that they will be better looked after than the ones in the Botanical Gardens. Many of them were given by gentlemen who took a pride in this city. If His Worship would take !i walk on the hillside overlooking the Gardens and see for himself, I think he would feel rathe • reluctant in asking for more. I hope that they will receive a coat of paint in time for the Coronation, and thus be in keeping with the surroundings.—l . am, etc.. More Paixt. May 1.
