NEW FEATURE TO-MORROW 1 COMING OF THE SPRINGBOKS ' SERIES COMMENCES A special copyright series of articles, ‘ The Coming of the Springboks,’ by leading All Blacks will be launched in the ‘ Sports Special ’ to-morrow night, the first article being by C. Oliver, entitled ‘ Weakness of the All Blacks.’ The succeeding articles will be: ‘What New Zealand Can Count On,’ by J. L. Griffiths; ‘Who Will Triumph in the Forwards,’ by H. F. M‘Lean; and ‘All Black Strength and Weakness,’ by J, Sadler. These reviews by men whose careers have made them famous throughout the Rugby world, should be read with * the deepest interest at this juncture, wnen the most discussed tour ever organised is about to commence. Incidentally, Oliver in the opening article advises the inclusion of Otago’s boot magician, Dave Trevathan, whom he dubs “ New Zealand’s Bennie Osier.” Another feature, the enjoyment of which readers will commence on May 8, is a longer series of memoirs from the pen of W. J. Stead, one of the greatest captains and five-eighths who ever' donned the black jersey. To-morrow’s issue will be sold on the streets as usual from 7 p.m., and will contain reports of local and Dominion games, the Oamaru, Dannevirke, and Kaikoura race meetings, and a large budget of general sporting news and views, liberally illustrated.
