COMMEMORATION CONCERT
To mark tho twenty-first anniversary of the N.Z.R.S.A., which falls on Wednesday, the Dunedin R.S.A. has arranged a function in the Town Hall, to which all citizens interested in the work of the organisation are invited. Opportunity will be taken to hand the mayor a tangible expression of appreciation of the assistance rendered to the association by the people of Otago. A short musical programme has been arranged by the Returned Soldiers’ Choir, which will sing the part -songs ‘ The Deathless Army ’ (soloist, Mr _R. Duerden) and ‘ Crossing the Plain.’ Mrs N. Hall-Masters, soprano, will sing
Hamilton Harty’s beautiful ‘ Sea Wrack.’ Dr V. E. Galway (city organist) will play ‘ A Spring Song,’ by Hollins, and ‘ March,’ by Rebikov. In addition there will be a solo by Mr R. Duerdcn, ‘ The Romany King.’ Miss Sybil Baker will be the accompanist. The Trumpet and Bugle Band, under the conductorship of Lieutenant J. L. Napier, will play ‘Reveille.’ The Dunedin Highland Pipe Band will pipe in the twenty-first annversary cake. There will bo no charge for admission.
