LOST £SO NOTE
TRADED AS 10/The similarity between the 10s and £SO notes circulating throughout the Dominion has. caused some confusion among people who have only a slight acquaintance with the latter, and in several cases has lead to costly mistakes. On Tuesday afternoon a, woman made a small purchase in a city store and tendered what she thought was a 10s note to the assistant, who evidently made the same mistake and gave her Change in silver. It was a £SO note, and the woman did not discover her loss until yesterday. She hurriedly communicated with the shop, but its principals cannot find any record of having received a £SO note, the inference being that the assistant passed it out again as a 10s note.
