“LEST WE FORGET.”—To-morrow is Poppy Day, and in addition to the usual poppies there will be on sale crosses of remembrance, these taking the form of small wooden crosses with a poppy affixed. Special sand boxes will be provided at the foot of the fallen soldiers’ memorial in the Queen’s Gardens for those who wish to place their crosses there any time from Saturday morning onwards. The reproduction here is slightly less than actual size, the measurements being 7½in x 3¾in.
