RUGBY .MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING The Management Committee of the Otago Rugby Union met last night, Dr A. Perry (president) in the chair. It was reported that arrangements had been made for a meeting of representatives of clubs on Wednesday night to form a junior advisory committee.—lt was decided to recommend to that meeting that the advisory committee should comprise six members and two members of the Management Committee. TROPHY A decision to challenge Canterbury for the English Football Association Trophy was made by the Management Committee of the Otago Football Association last night. It was also decided to suggest May 15 as the date for the match for the Jones Cup with Canterbury at Christchurch. TRANSFERS GRANTED. Transfers Were granted as follows: To Roslyu-Wakari H. The City Council advised'that the 13 grounds applied for had been granted. The charges would be the same as for last year—£7 10s per ground per season, plus £5 each for the use of rooms in the Oval and Logan Park pavilions and rooms, and £l.per ground for marking lines and erecting posts. A donation of £1 Is was made to the Referees’ Club. It was decided to apply to the New Zealand Association for 24 Ijalls for use in the primary schools. A letter wishing him a speedy recovery is to be sent to Mr A. M’Quarrie, who is in hospital for treatment of an eye injury received in the final test last season against Australia.
