INDUSTRIAL LABOUR CONTROL

NATIONAL CONFERENCE [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, April 12. Nearly 300 delegates, representing labour industrial organisations in many part of the Dominion, will attend a conference at Wellington on Wednesday. The object is to devise a national body to control industrial labour throughout the country in place of the numerous authorities at present in existence. For some time certain groups in the movement have been at odds, and there is a desire in the ranks of Labour that the factions shall end. The constitution drafted at a previous conference between the Trades and Labour Council and the Alliance of Labour will be the basis of discussion. The Acting Prime Minister (Mr P. Fraser) will open the conference.
