DUNEDIN CLUB'S MEETING SILVER TCM WINS MAVORA CUP The Dunedin Whippet Racing CluH held a successful meeting on Saturday. The weather was dull, with slight) showers, but this did not affect the attendance The tracks were in perfect order. Invercargill dogs were well represented, one of them being successful in winning the Improvers’ Handicap* while another just failed in the Open Hurdles by half a head. Miss Mavorai Moynihan presented the Mavora Cun to Mr W. H. Turner, and congratulated! him on his dog. Silver Tom._who_registered a great performance in winning] from a field of 12 dogs. The meeting] was controlled by the following Judge, Mr W. Butler; starter, Mr J* M. Rodgerson ; timekeeper, Mr E. Red Glow ... 1 Nightly' ... 2 Nightform 3 Nightly led out and looked like winning, when Red Glow put in a challenge and finished strongly to snatch victory by a head, Nightform being a) length awav third. Won by a length and a-half, with a length between second and third. Time, 11 3-ssec. —Final. — Night Flight 1 Bramby’s Pride ... 3 Cashier 3 Bramby’s Pride had a slight lead to the first fence. The rest were closing up, and at the last jump all the finalists rose together. Night Flight received the verdict by half a head* Cashier being a length., away third* Time, 10 2-ssec.
