POPULAR NAVAL CONCERT

A popular naval concert will be given by the concert party of the visiting Australian Squadron in the Town Hall Concert Chamber on Monday evening next. Sailors’ concerts are always different, and, according to reports received from Wellington, where the party played to a capacity house, this performance is no exception. The Australian visitors promise us a programme full of rollicking humour and containing nothing to which anyone can take offence. There will b© instrumental items, humorous numbers, and bright and breezy sketches. The concert is being given by the men in appreciation of the hospitality shown them during their visit to Dunedin, and, at their request, the total proceeds will be devoted to the Mayor’s Relief Fund. Popular prices are being charged, and the box plan arrangements are advertised.
