17,000,000 GALLONS MORE MILK

CONSUMED IN BRITAIN LAST YEAR Success of the Milk Marketing Board’s publicity campaign has been proved in Great Britain, it is claimed, by last year’s consumption figures. Total increase in milk demand for the year was nearly 17,000,000 gallons, or 12.3 pints per family. Of the total, 10,420,200 gallons more of tuberculin-tested and certified milk were drunk.

The extra milk has been drunk by ordinary families, not by children in schools, and chiefly by people of average income. This is held to prove the success of the board’s campaign. Producers have netted an extra £425.(;01) from the increase, and distributors have also benefited.—‘Advertisers! >Veek]y.’.
