SEVEN DAYS' IMPRISONMENT

STOWAWAY CN PORT DENISON [Pek United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, April 10. For stowing away on the steamer Port Denison between Sydney and Auckland, Stanley Thomas Sands (25). a seaman, was sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment. The police said that the accused worked in New Zealand from 1925 to 1931, and subsequently went to Sydney, where he became stranded. He knew nobody from whom he could borrow the fare back. The man was of good character on tho Port Denison and worked well..
