RISING PRICES OF BASIC COMMODITIES. The wool sale at Napier yesterday, notched yet another peals mark in the steadily upward climb of prices. Wool, however, is not the only product so affected. The graphs on this ,page are typical of the marked rise in prices of most other basic commodities—particularly those used in armaments. The prices were supplied by local,brokers and represent the quotations received by them for purchase in the best • markets. Intermediate weekly or monthly fluctuations are not shown.
