The winning of the Dominion championship last week at Feilding for the second time in succession proves-that our champion, Mr R. Weir, is a great player, scoring 22 points out of a possible 26. With another two or three years’ experience one may see him challenging the veteran world’s champion, E. Stewart, or his successor (most likely the successor will be Mr Levi) for the title. Such a feat is not beyond the ability of our youthful champion. We heartily congratulate Mr Weir on retaining the Dominion title.
