PURSUANT to the Provisions of “The Local Bodies Loans Act,' 1926,* a . n £ all other power and authority therewith in that behalf enabling it, the Dunedin City Council HEREBY GIVES PUBLIC NOTICE of its intention, subject, to the consent of the ratepayers, to raise a SPECIAL LOAN of £IOO,OOO for the purpose and in the terms hereinafter appearing, that is to say: (a) The particular purpose for which the Loan is required is to effect Improvements to the Streets of the City. (b) The sum proposed to be borrowed is One Hundred Thousand Pounds (£100,000), and the Loan shall be known as “ The Streets Loan, 1937.” The rate of interest to be paid on the proposed Loan shall not exceed 34 per cent, per annum, unless altered as may bo lawfully, prescribed. (c) The proposed security to be pledged to meet the yearly charges on the said, proposed Loan ie an annually recurring rate of One Penny Half Penny (14d) in the Ponnd (£) on the rateable value of all rateable property within the City of Dunedin, as appearing on the Valuation Roll in force for the time being. The provision for the repayment of the said proposed Loan is that a sinking fund of Three Pounds Ton Shillings per centum per annum on the amount of the Loan shall be provided towards such repayment, and that the said Loan shall have a currency of Twenty Years, at the expiry of which it shall be fully paid off.
