HOUSING SCHEME FOR DUNEDIN PROPOSALS OF FINANCE COMMITTEE The Finance Committee of the City Council reports that the matter of fix* ing the amount of the housing loan has been considered, and at this stage it ia not possible to gauge accurately just what sum will be needed to finance the scheme, but it is estimated that an amount of £IOO,OOO should suffice to meet the proposals now in hand. The committee recommends that authority be given for the preliminary steps to be taken to raise a loan of £IOO,OOO from the State Advances Corporation, with rate of interest at 3 per cent., as a housing loan.
