The Speaker of the House of Representatives (Mr W. E. Barnard), who is concluding a tour of the Dominion in. the interests of tho Five Million Club, in an interview yesterday (says a Press Association telegram from Rotorua) stated that he was very pleased with tho result of his tour and the response of the people to his advocacy of the necessity for increasing the Dominion’s population. Mr Barnard during his visit to Rotorua inspected the military units in camp at Arawa Park and addressed the men on. behalf of the Minister of Defence (Mr Jones). Mr Barnard, who inspected various phases of the training operations, congratulated the men on tneir enthusiasm and efficiency.
