WISEMAN CUP

Twelve yachts crossed the starting line at Port Chalmers on Saturday afternoon in the club race for the G* S. "Wiseman Challenge Cup. The weather was favourable, and a good sailing display was witnessed. The race was won by Miti (scratch), the smaller yacht Lady Luck taking second place after a keen competition. Lady Luck, though having a handicap of only tea minutes, lost the first place by less than a minute. Miti now will hold the cup for a year.
