Waipahi arrived yesterday at Port Chalmers from Bluff to discharge wool. She will com© to Dunedin to-morrow, and will sail on Wednesday for Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth via Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton. Port Whangarei arrived this morning, and will sail this evening for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui via Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton. Breeze is to sail to-night for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui.' Storm is due on Friday to load for Wellington and Wanganui via Timaru and Lyttelton. Awahou is due to-morrow to load and sail the same day for New Plymouth and Port Waikato via ports. Waipiata is due on Wednesday to discharge cargo from northern ports. She will sail the same day for Bluff, and is expected back on Saturday. Overseas, Huia discharged explosives at Port Chalmers and sailed on Saturday for Auckland. Canadian Highlander sailed on Saturday for Bluff. Port Nicholson, from Waikokopu, arrived yesterday, and will sail on Thursday for Wellington. She will leave finally from that port on February 27 for London via Cape Horn. Omana, from Adelaide direct, arrived this morning, and is to sail on Wednesday for Lyttelton and Portland to complete discharge of South Australian cargo. Karetu is to sail to-morrow for Timaru and Lyttelton to complete discharge of Sydney cargo. Durham is to sail on Wednesday for Lyttelton, Wellington, Opua, Auckland, and Wanganui to load for Home ports. Anhalt, from Gulf of Mexico via northern ports, is due here on March 6. AUSTRALIA-NEW ZEALAND. Omana, from Edithburg, Port Lincoln, and Adelaide, discharges at Dunedin, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Portland. She was due here to-day, and will sail to-morrow. Wanganella left Wellington on February 19 for Sydney, where she is expected to-morrow. Marama left Melbourne on February 17 for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington. She is due here to-night. Awatea left Sydney on February 19 lor Wellington and Auckland. She was due at Wellington to-day, at Auckland on Wednesday, and at Sydney again on February 27. Gale is duo on Thursday from Wellington. After discharge she will dock at Port Chalmers for cleaning and painting, and will return on March 1 to load for Wellington and Wanganui via ports. Whngatui is to leave Auckland on Friday for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, and is due here on Thursday, March 4. Holmglen loads here on Thursday for Wellington, New Pljmouth, and Port Waikato via Timaru and Lyttelton. Port W r aikato is due on March 1 to load for Wellington, Auckland. Taurangn, and WTiangarei via Timam and Lyttelton. INTERISLAND EXPRESS. The interisland express steamer Wahine arrived at Lyttelton from Wellington at 6.55 yesterday morning.

The latest addition to the fleet of the New Zealand Shipping Company is the motor ship Essex, which left Liverpool on January 23 on her maiden voyage to Australia via the Cape. She is commanded by Captain S. C. Broughton, who was captain of the last vessel in the company’s fleet to bear 'this name. Built by John Brown and Company Limited, the Essex is of the shel-ter-deck type, specially built for the company’s trade. A feature of the cargo holds is the provision made for the carriage of refrigerated produce. There is a total capacity of 520,000 cubic feet of insulated cargo space. IN RADIO RANGE.
