MILK-IN-SCHOOLS SCHEME
ALL READY FOR METROPOLITAN AREAS [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, February 20. The Minister of Education (the Hon. P. Fraser) stated to-day that good prooress was being made in instituting the milk-in-sehools scheme. It _ would not be possible to have all districts catered for at the commencement of the school vear, hut an arrangement was nearly completed for a start to be made in the Auckland, Wellington', Christchurch, and Dunedin metropolitan areas early in March. This was the first stag© ot a national plan. . The second section comprised a group of 33 of the larger boroughs, and m these cases the mayors had been invited to convene local committees to be entrusted with the organisation and details. The third group comprised all the remaining areas, and in these the school committees were being invited to initiate a scheme.
