THE PRIME MINISTER
FIRST OFFICIAL VISIT TO DUNEDIN A BUSY MORNING “ I am not here to talk about politics, but just to meet the people of the country before I leave for the Imperial Conference,” said the Prime Minister, the Ut. Hon. M. J. Savage, on his arrival in Dunedin by the night express from the north this morning. Mr Savage is accompanied by the Hon. H. T. Armstrong, Minister of Labour. They were greeted at the station by the mayor (the Rev. E. T. Cox) and city members of Parliament. Both Ministers had a very busy morning in receiving callers and deputations, most of which were of a private nature. Later in the morning Mr Savage found time to make a quick inspection of the new Post Office, and was very impressed with what he saw. “ The building seems to represent the last word,” he said. In his capacity as Minister in charge of Broadcasting, Mr Savage also visited the 4YA studios, where he was received by Mr H. Ninnis, the station director, and other officials. This afternoon the Ministers visited the' health camp at Company Bay.
