THE SHARE MARKET DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE Conditions on this morning’s call-oyer were'very quiet. In the hanking section. Unions were firmer, while New. Zealands were on offer at £2 Os 6d without attracting buyers. Insurance issues were quiet, ■while Goldebrougb, Morts were a little firmer, buyers ottering £1 18s, with sellers at £1 18s 6d. In the miscellaneous section Bwiken Hill were firm, but the feature of this section was the sudden rise in G. J. Coles, buyers offering 4s better than yesterday’s selling price. Sellers were 5s 6d" away, however. The other quotations showed little change. Mount Lyells were firm, buyers offering • £2 4s, with sellers at £2 4s 6d. Buyers of . On the Stock Exchange the feature of to-day’s business was a strong inquiry for and a sharp advance of G. J. Coles shares. Mount Lyell and Broken Hill shares were also considerably firmer. The opening prices are 3s 8d to 3s 9d per bushel, f.0.b., s.i., for A Cartons,. and 3s 6d for B’s. These prices are equivalent to 3s and 2s 10d respectively, on trucks, country sidings, sacks extra. The chaff market is unchanged. Supplies are equal to the demand, .which is not over-brisk. Heavy yields of potatoes are reported from the Canterbury districts. Flood damage and blight have lowered the South Otago crops. New season’s apples arc now increasing in supply, especially from Ndson districts. The tomato market remains firm. Hothouse-grown are arriving from Ngftli Otago and outside-grown from Christchurch. Greengages of good quality are realising satisfactory prices, and from reports received, high values are being obtained on northern .markets. Moorpark, apricots are in keen demand.
