POLICEMEN ISSUE WRITS
ACTION AGAINST NEW SOUTH WALES GOVERNMENT Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, February 12. (Received February 12, at 11 a.m.) Thirteen policemen have issued writs out ol : the Supreme Court, each claiming; £IO,OOO damages against a nominal defendant, the Under-Secretary_ for Justice. The cause of the action is not disclosed, but it has been stated that action against the Government is being taken by members of the force who were dismissed/ in December following Mr Justice Marked’s report on start-ing-price betting. .
