THE LORD MAYOR'S FUHD CONTRIBUTIONS STILL BEING RECEIVED. (British Official Wireless.) I-tess Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, February 10. The Lord Mayor’s fund for the national memorial to King George V. now amounts to £632,659, not taking into account gifts of land of an estimated value of more than' £IOO,OOO. From the beginning of the recent scheme under which owners of banking accounts were invited to transfer odd shillings and pence from their accounts to the memorial fund, the sum of £196,000 has been added to the fund. Of this total £94,686 was the product of bankers’ coupons. Contributions are still being received.
